Install Windows Xp on Acer Aspire 4310

Hi guys, great to see you again here,
I'm going to introduce new notebook that so many peoples still want to use Windows XP as it's operating systems rather than Vista with this brand new machine.

Anyway, for those who're willing to buy this notebook and willing to use Windows XP as it's OS. You can download Win XP driver as Acer have releases an official drivers for Acer Aspire 4310 for Windows XP.

So, you don't need to worry about incompatible drivers for Acer Aspire 4310 if you're willing to install Windows XP on it.

For all Acer Aspire 4310 users out there, here's the instructions and download link for the driver compatible with windows XP.

SATA RAID Driver

How to install SATA driver for Aspire 4310 (using F6 - floppy disk drives)

• Extract SATA_Raid.rar then copy all extracted files to Floppydisk

1. XP installation SOP:
2. Put the WinXP SP2 CD disc to DVD-ROM.
3. Plug in USB Floppy with AHCI driver disk to system USB port. (*a)
4. Power on system and press “F2” key to enter BIOS.
5. Set boot priority 1: CD/DVD 2: IDE0 3: USB FDD then restart.
6. System starts installation.
7. Please press “F6 key” for several times while you see the “Press F6 if you…….” is displayed below the screen.
8. After about 3~4 minute, the system appear “Windows Setup”screen.
9. Press “S key” , then select “Intel 82801GM SATA RAID CONTROLLER (MOBILE ICH7MR/DH)".
10. The system will load AHCI driver through the USB floppy disc, then press “Enter key”.
11. The system can identify the SATA HDD and start installation successfully, check the system without appear bluescreen.

**Anyway, if you don't have USB floppy disk drive, you may try to use other options on how to install Windows XP without floppy disk drive using nLite on my previous articles. Just follow the steps given but make sure you select the right SATA driver that i've told when you create Win XP CD using nLite. Click here.
